Bonnie Holliday Johnson, age 66, of Morrisville, NC, formerly of Roanoke Rapids, died Thursday, August 6, 2015.

Bonnie, a native of Halifax County, was the daughter of the late Harry Lee and Mason Edwards Holliday. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Kathryn Holliday Daniels and her brother, Harry Lee Holliday, Jr.

Bonnie graduated from Roanoke Rapids High School in 1967. She was the principal at Scotland Neck Primary School until her retirement in 2011. Her passion was educating kids and she loved them all dearly.

She was very active in her doll house miniatures and was in two clubs, holding the office of president in one.

Surviving is her husband, Mike Johnson and their daughter, Crystal Johnson of Morrisville; her canine companions, Roni, Niblet and Baby.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the old section of Cedarwood Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Martin officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Halifax County, P.O. Box 1023, Roanoke Rapids, NC, 27870.

Arrangements are being handled by Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids.
